Burke Gallery Guns 1879 Tombstone Miniature Shotgun Percussion BB - New

Exceptional 10" Side x Side Coach Gun with Factory Box, Accessories Kit and Certificate of Authenticity. Limited run of 500 Units. This Beautifully designed Miniature Gallery Gun was made using no cast or plastic parts, and CNC machined using Chrome Molly, Brass, Stainless Steel, and Wood. All the internal parts, hammers, triggers, and barrels are heat-treated for strength, and hand-polished prior to finishing. Brass components are polished, and then left in a natural state, and the steel parts are given an authentic black-oxide (gun blue) finish. All of the grips and stocks are CNC machine carved from select Walnut, and given a light polyurethane coating for protection. Finally, all the finished components are carefully hand-fitted and tested, prior to packaging.

The 1879 Tombstone Gallery Gun pays homage to the iconic double-barrel, exposed hammer Shotguns, popular throughout Europe and North America during the latter half of the 19th century. The Double-Barrel saw action (in muzzle-loading form) with the Cavalry during the American Civil War, and later evolved into a 'break-barrel' design that chambered Shot-Shells of varying gauges (calibers). Although designed originally for hunting fowl and other small game, the Double-Barrel became valued by Lawmen as well as Outlaws for its' ability to spread 2 lethal doses of lead shot over a wide area. Adding in no small part to its' fame as a 'Street Howitzer', was Wells Fargo's use of Double-Barrels for protection on their Stage Coaches. Carrying the gun by a guard seated next to the driver became known as 'riding shotgun'. The guns themselves became known as 'Coach Guns'.
