AZFirearms.com is a small, family owned and operated, gun shop in Avondale, AZ, with a huge nationwide online presence. We are looking for someone to help lead our Team, who will require very little training, and can help us continue to grow the AZFirearms.com brand into a household name. What Are We Looking For?

 

We serve hunters, sports shooters, collectors, military, and law enforcement, so a broad base of knowledge and experience is important.

 

Previous experience in a retail gun store, and therefore familiarity with ATF Form 4473 We pride ourselves on service, therefore excellent customer service skills are imperative. Since we serve a broad base of first time, and the growing market of female gun owners, a friendly and approachable demeanor is a must.

 

Having superior communication skills are important to communicating effectively as a Team Leader, reporting effectively to Management, and helping understand customers' needs.

 

We use many handwritten tags, and therefore clear and legible handwriting skills are needed. Our sales team uses a computerized Point of Sale program, so you will need to have excellent computer skills. Communication between Team Members is something we highly value, so you must have text and email capabilities.  Your ability to speak Spanish is also important, but not required.

 

Ability to work within a cohesive team atmosphere that extends to the Auction House and our Radio Show. We enjoy being a social group off-hours, and are not looking for the Lone Ranger.

 

Knowledge of who we are and what we stand for, our culture is rich and we value it. 

Enthusiastically using social media to help the public appreciate our culture of fun and service, as well as new products as they come in is a vital part of growing a business in the digital age and you will be expected to utilize the various platforms several times each week.

 

Appreciation of who our sponsors are - our customers come in simply because our sponsors trust us, so it is imperative to be able to relate to those customers.

 

We place a high value on flexibility, and occasionally attend off-site gun shows, therefore your ability & willingness to work Saturdays and Gun Shows is important.

 

And, of course, you must have reliable transportation, the ability to work for $12-$15 per hour with no benefits, and maintain a professional appearance are all important factors as well.

 

What Will You Be Doing Here

  • Leading a Team of 4 to 8 Retail Salespeople
  • Operating the front and back end of Point Of Sale “cash register” program
  • Building and Maintaining Retail “Shopping Cart” Website
  • Use SEO to maximize our website’s visibility and viability in the digital marketplace
  • Organizing hourly schedules and covering hours for Team Members
  • Working cohesively with our sister company, Pot Of Gold Auctions
  • Initiating and executing bi-annual Inventory Days
  • Assisting ATF Auditing Agents in annual and spot-check audits
  • Maintaining inventory levels by placing orders with distributors
  • Purchasing pre-owned firearms
  • Utilizing various Social Media Platforms to interact with the public
  • Serving walk-in customers, helping them to find the best “fit” firearm for their needs
  • Filling out Federal forms and calling in NICS checks
  • Filling out paperwork for transferred firearms
  • Keeping a tidy and clean storefront and work space - we do not have janitors.
